My Reviews

I started reviewing books for a book review site in 2006 and in August of 2007, Amazon invited me to become a charter member of their Vine Voices program. Amazon.com's Vine Voices receive a wide variety of products and I have reviewed everything from beef jerky to a laptop computer for them. After reviewing for Amazon Vine for years, I opted out of the program in March 2018. Changes to the program made it a source of stress, and I am a firm believer that when something ceases to be (or never was) enjoyable and isn't necessary, it should be removed from one's life.

Some of the the items I have reviewed came from Amazon Vine, some directly from manufacturers, and I also review products I've purchased myself. If I receive the product as a review sample, I always disclose such within the review, per regulations. No matter how I obtain each item, I always write an honest review. I try to be diplomatic when the item warrants negative comments, but I don't shy away from stating the truth. There is no product worth my integrity or credibility and lying about a product I don't like just doesn't make sense to me. In each review, I ask myself what I would want to know before buying that product, and try to answer each of the questions I come up with.

You will find links to my Amazon reviews posted on my Reviewer Profile page there. Because I prefer to have more control over my reviews, I'll primarily be posting them on my own blog now, although I will still post reviews for things I've purchased from Amazon there as well.
